Description

Here are the pictures and brief descriptions of my attempts to fly my Walnut Scale Stinson Voyager by Dumas. The 'flights' were very brief, resulting in some damage.

12-10-2006

Using a winder to wind up the motor, I proceeded to launch into the wind. The plane immediately started to oscillate up and down, and then finally landed after about 5 seconds.

After a few more attempts, one resulting in an immediate pitch straight up, then a full power dive straight into the ground, some damage was noted, and other flight attempts were abandoned.

The damage was the tail wheel was missing, one of the landing struts was gone, and the windshield separated from the fuselage.

After adjusting the center of graviy, another attempt was made. It immediately shot straight up, stalled, then came straight back down. I attempted to catch the plane in flight. No other flight attempts were made.
